I'm just listening to you.

“Let’s take a walk.” Justin said as he held out his arm. I hooked mine with his and we slowly walked from one end of the bridge to the other. A part of me felt like this was wrong; hooking arms with a strange man and walking through Central Park at 9pm. But then again…

“You look very beautiful tonight, (YN).”

“Don’t get too off topic.”

He chuckled, “I know you wouldn’t leave it alone. So much for changing the subject.”

“So you are hiding something from me?”

“Only because I’m trying to protect you.” He spoke more sternly as if he was getting more and more irritated with me.

“Protecting me?” I said louder as I pushed his farther away from me. We both stopped in our tracks, “I don’t need to be protected by some stranger! What are you; some-some guy in a gang or something?!”

“Stop yelling, you’re going to attract attention.” Justin warned.

Who fucking cares? I don’t even know who you are and you’re already making up shit lies about ‘protecting me’ and all of this bullshit! Who a-”

Bliss. Pure Bliss.

His soft hands sent tingly feelings all over my cheeks. His lips… His lips fit perfectly with mine like a completed puzzle. I’d never felt this before when I’d kissed a guy. It was- It was breathtaking.

Just happened to be the one to pull away because I was still stunned… paralyzed by his kiss. A smile danced on his lips immediately afterwards.

“You really should listen to me when I tell you to do something important such as that.” He chuckled deeply.

“Don’t.”

“What? Don’t What?”

“I said don’t. D-Don’t kiss me like that.” I stumbled back.

He stood with a shocked look plastered on his face. I just wanted to go home and lie in bed and just stay away from this- this monster. I knew that if I talked to him further he’d end up ruining my life because I’d fall for him. That kiss was already too much for me. I closed my eyes to think just for a few seconds and when I opened them I could not believe who was in front of me.

“Justin… Bieber?” I said.

“I wasn’t hiding from you. I was trying to protect you from this.’ He said as if he’d let himself down.

“From what?” I said still shocked that he was- well him!

He sighed and counted down with his fingers. As soon as he curled his pointer finger in-

“It’s him! Guys I found him! And he’s with someone! It’s Selena! Wait no it’s not! That girl’s not Selena!”

Voices came shouting from everywhere and before I could take it all in, Just was dragging me across the park.

“Come on!” he yelled, “Run faster!”

I picked up my pace just enough to stop being dragged. Justin fumbled around in his pocket while we ran for what I suspected was his keys. The headlights of a car in front of us flashed and I ran to the passenger side and hopped in. Justin was already starting the car and pulling out while I clicked on my seatbelt.

“Fuck.” He spoke under his breath as we slowly moved through the sudden crowd of people around us. “Cover your face and duck.”

I followed his instructions and waited until all of the voices seemed distant. I sat up straight and took my hands away from my face to see us flying down the highway at top speeds.

I peeked over at Justin out of the corner of my eye. I still was in utter shock that this Justin was Justin Bieber. I would have never guessed… okay maybe I would’ve because of the way he dressed but it was not the first thing to come to mind.

“Surprised?” Justin laughed.

“Just a little bit.” I said sarcastically.

“That’s how most people react.”
I stopped talking and stared out of the window. I had no idea where we were going now. “I take it you’re taking me home?”

We stopped at a red light and Justin threw his head back laughing. When he finally caught a breath he said, “That’s really funny. I can’t take you home now! Unless you want everyone to know where you live. So for now we are going to go back to my hotel.”

I sighed and looked down. What had I gotten myself into? I kissed the world’s biggest popstar and now I was going back to his hotel. This was not how I wanted my night to be, but I definitely didn’t mind it. I started smiling to myself and Justin caught me so I stopped right away.

“I’m not hiding anything from you now, so don’t hide anything from me okay?” Justin said as he held up his hand with his pinky out.

“Okay.” I pinky promised him and he went back to driving.

We were back at his hotel within no time but when we pulled up, this time was different. Justin sent a text and seconds later someone of authority opened my door and held out a hand. I was scared to trust this person after the park incident and he could see the worry on my face.

“Don’t worry,” he yelled over the girls screams, “My names Kenny and I’m Justin’s personal bodyguard. Come with me?”

I took his hand and he covered me with a huge jacket and escorted me inside. I didn’t even look back to see where Justin was or if he was okay or anything. But when I pulled the jacket away from my body and held it in my arms I looked to see Justin standing next to me in an elevator pulling his pants up just a little bit.

“Thanks for the jacket Kenny.” I said quietly.

“Thank Justin, it is his after all.”

I turned to Justin and before I could say anything he smiled, “It’s my pleasure.”

I smiled to myself and soon enough the bell in the elevator dinged. We were towards the very top of the hotel, I could tell. About 5 of us poured out of the hotel and Justin took my hand in his and led us to his room. The guards followed a bit behind us and I had a feeling they weren’t going to leave. We got to the door and Justin unlocked it and opened it for me. The guards stood outside of the door on watch and we went inside. I kept the jacket wrapped around my shoulders tightly and stood in the humongous hotel with no idea what to do now.

Justin took of his jacket and poured himself a glass of some alcoholic drink that I could smell from a short distance. He practically downed it within minutes. I shook my head and looked away. Now I knew that he wasn’t 21 either, he was 18. But I wasn’t 21 either, I was 17.

“You might be staying for a while so-“

“Justin!? Are you back?”

Justin furrowed his eyebrows in a confused way and I mimicked his look. Who the hell was in his hotel? I was still lost but by the way he rolled his eyes and stomped over to the bedroom, he know exactly who it was. I stood quietly and tried eavesdropping to see who was here.

“Sel why the fuck are you here?” Justin whisper-yelled.

“I thought we could fix things baby.”

“Get out right now; I don’t want to fix things anymore.”

“Fine, but I’ll be back eventually and we both know it.”

“Just leave.”

I looked up just as Selena Gomez walked out of the room. She stopped and sent me a glare and looked back at Justin.

“Is she the girl from the club? You brought her back here so that you could fuck her didn’t you!? You’re disgusting Justin! I’m done!”

She lightly shoved me as she walked by and stormed out of the room. I was tempted to yell but I held it back. I’d never liked Selena Gomez in the first place and she was making it worse.

“I’m sorry about that.” Justin said.

But that didn’t really excuse him from anything. He’d kissed me at the park knowing that him and Selena weren’t completely over, according to her at least. I felt somewhat used; I didn’t want to be here anymore.

“That kiss… it was nothing to you was it? You were just trying to stop the pain from that breakup, weren’t you?”

“No, don’t think about it that way.”

“Take me home.”
“You’re not going home.”
“I can if I want, you can’t keep me here.”

Justin groaned with annoyance present. I was pissed. He kept inching closer and closer to me and I didn’t even think to back up. Before I knew it our faces were just inches apart.

“Listen to me,” He whispered strictly, “You have no idea what I felt, what I feel, how I feel. That night I laid my eyes on you I fucking… nevermind. Just remember that that kiss meant more than you’ll ever know to me. I’ve never felt that way before and I’m not about to let you ruin that.”

He stormed off to the bedroom and slammed the door behind him. I ran to the bed room door and let the jacket fall behind me. I tried the handle but it was locked.

“Justin I’m sorry.” I yelled, hoping that he’d hear me. “I-I didn’t know.”

No answer. I rested my forehead on the door and closed my eyes.
“I really didn’t know.”
